Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Precast Concrete Inspector III to lead quality control and prep plants for PCI audits and DOT approvals. You will supervise Level I/II inspectors, resolve prestressed product issues with the engineer of record, and audit supplier plants for owners and agencies.

The senior role requires PCI QC Level III certification and 6+ years of precast QC, with strong command of PCI standards and DOT specs. Plant travel and early-morning shifts are common.

Qualifications

• PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level III, current, with 6+ years of precast and prestressed QC including supervision.
• Experience working with PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and state DOT precast specifications.
• Experience preparing a plant for PCI certification and hosting audits; credible with plant managers and inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain plant QC programs and manuals to PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT requirements.
• Prepare plants for PCI certification audits and DOT approvals; lead corrective actions.
• Resolve structural acceptance questions on prestressed products with the engineer of record.
• Audit supplier plants for owners and agencies and supervise Level I and II inspectors.
