Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Precast Inspector III to serve as the senior quality authority for precast and prestressed products. You will establish plant QC programs, prepare facilities for PCI/DOT audits, and supervise lower-level inspectors across multiple plants.

You will resolve structural acceptance questions with the engineer of record, audit supplier plants, and ensure compliance with PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT specs. This role requires travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level III, current, with 6+ years of precast and prestressed QC including supervision.
• Command of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and state DOT precast and prestressed specifications.
• Experience preparing a plant for PCI certification and hosting the audit.
• Credible with plant managers, engineers of record, and DOT inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain plant QC programs and manuals to PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT requirements.
• Prepare plants for PCI certification audits and DOT approvals.
• Lead corrective actions and resolve structural acceptance questions on prestressed products with the engineer of record.
• Audit supplier plants on behalf of owners and agencies; supervise and develop Level I and II inspectors across plants and projects.
