Job summary

Hitachi Energy in the United States seeks a senior pre-sales engineer to provide technical leadership for substation solutions including STATCOM, E-STATCOM, and energy storage. You will convert customer needs into optimized technical proposals and coordinate across sales, engineering, and commissioning teams.

You will travel up to 40-50% across NAM, build strong relationships, deliver product demonstrations, support tenders, and ensure long-term value from installed systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 10+ years in solution design for FACTS or Substation Solutions.
• Authorization to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
• Experience with FACTS design, analysis, simulations and calculations.
• Hands-on knowledge of PSSE, PSCAD/EMTDC, RTDS.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Support sales through technical expertise, presentations, and demonstrations.
• Coordinate tenders and ensure the technical solution is aligned with customer needs.
• Identify optimized technical solutions across the Hitachi Energy FACTS network.
• Collaborate with customers, ISOs and internal teams throughout the sales process.
• Provide ongoing customer support to maximize value from installed systems.
