Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Pre-sales Engineer is an expert in several eDiscovery applications and is responsible for providing support to prospective customers during the sales cycle. This individual will identify, understand and define customer needs and demonstrate how our solutions meet those needs.

This highly technical sales-support role will have an excellent understanding of all facets of eDiscovery software, IT software and hardware platforms and how GeorgeJon’s products and services relate to a prospect’s specific needs. This exciting role helps the sales team develop, scope and price the GeorgeJon solution we are proposing. This is a remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Present GeorgeJon’s products and services to current and prospective customers with a master understanding of the various functionality, workflow, and value of the solutions we offer.
  2. Lead prospects in understanding their needs and setting clear expectations and scope for a prospective sales opportunity.
  3. Listen to and understand the underlying questions from customers, tailoring solutions accordingly, as well as design the client solution based on all gathered requirements and detailed specifications.
  4. Analyze complex customer environments, provide a detailed list of requirements for the proposal process.
  5. Evaluate hardware and software options, working with vendor procurement teams for sourcing and delivery teams for appropriate project scoping.
  6. Communicate recommended hardware and software configuration options, including their costs and tradeoffs, and the impact of these on the overall budget.
  7. Support complex sales presentations, solution overviews and product demonstrations.
  8. Develop the structure for a sound implementation plan based upon the elements proposed during the scoping process.
  9. Create and maintain the templatized documentation used to present gathered requirements and proposed solutions to clients.
  10. Collaborate with Technical Engineers to resolve technical issues and provide hands-on support as needed.
  11. Help to develop the competencies of Technical Engineers by sharing knowledge and expertise.
  12. Provide feedback to prospective customers’ technology and sales leadership related to concerns presented during product demonstrations.
  13. Perform health checks for a quick assessment of the state of a prospective customer’s environment to propose appropriate products and services.
  14. Collaborate with sales and customer support teams for positive customer and prospect experiences by presenting knowledgeable, timely, and organized communication in all opportunities.
  15. Support product demonstrations and technical deep dives into a given proposed product/service.
  16. Stay current on eDiscovery market trends and emerging technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. 3+ years of experience in sales engineering or technical consulting.
  2. A proven track record of driving growth in the eDiscovery or legal software industry.
  3. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  4. Expert understanding of the EDRM Framework.
  5. Advanced knowledge of Relativity, NUIX, and/or Reveal software platforms.
  6. Exceptional verbal communication, networking, and relationship building skills.
  7. Ability to converse with prospects at all levels, including executives.
  8. Detail oriented with a high level of quality assurance for all deliverables.
  9. Capacity to manage own workload efficiently as well as balance multiple, simultaneous sales cycles.
  10. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, changing environment to prospect and develop new business.
  11. Ability to pivot and adjust product messaging according to the customer’s use case.
  12. Ability to travel for client engagements up to 15%.

NICE-TO-HAVES

  1. Special consideration will be given to candidates with experience in cloud-delivered legal software or eDiscovery software/services.
  2. Relativity Infrastructure Specialist and/or Relativity Certified Administrator is a big plus.
  3. Additional Relativity, Reveal, LAW, Brainspace and NUIX training and/or certifications are a plus.
