Remote - Florida (Covering Caribbean Region)

Thales is hiring an experienced Senior Sales Engineer who will provide guidance and assistance to the account teams in building solutions specific to customers’ application security challenges. As a consultative expert in Thales’ Cyber Security solutions, you will qualify and gather requirements to demonstrate, architect, and then prove the technical value of Thales’ solutions against competitive alternatives. You'll be eager to learn and implement new technology, ready to embrace and adapt to a large and complex portfolio of products. You'll be a self-starter who builds and maintains executive technical relationships to be a trusted advisor, maximizing Thales opportunities with customers.

This position will require successfully completing a post-offer background check. Qualified candidates with criminal history will be considered and are not automatically disqualified, consistent with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Key Areas of Responsibility
  1. Deliver new revenue by managing the technical sales lifecycle, including responses to RFPs/RFIs, discovery, solution design, product positioning, success criteria, POV management, and product demonstrations tailored to customer pain points.
  2. Translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences from c-suite to security teams.
  3. Collaborate internally to extend and receive best practices.
  4. Work cross-functionally with Product Management and Business Development to identify, evaluate, and recommend strategic product enhancements based on market initiatives, new technology, partnerships, or customer requirements.
  5. Coordinate with Customer Success and Technical Support teams to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  6. Maintain high technical awareness of relevant products, competitors, and market trends.
Minimum Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering).
  2. 5+ years of pre-sales experience in enterprise software, networking, or security companies.
  3. Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, presentation.
  4. Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, K8s, Docker, or other containerization technologies.
  5. Experience administering WAF, Bot Management, DDoS solutions, etc.
  6. Ability to position, discuss, and counter solution validation using objection-handling skills.
  7. Knowledge of compliance standards (PCI, SOX, HIPAA) is an advantage.
  8. Knowledge of application development (ASP, .NET, PHP, JSP) is an advantage.
  9. Enjoyment in solving unfamiliar technical problems.
  10. Openness to new ideas and approaches.
  11. Experience in the Latin American market.
  12. Bilingual in English/Spanish; Portuguese for Brazil-based role.
