Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a hands-on Practice Architect Level 2 to lead design, build, and scale-out of cloud-native platforms across AWS and GCP, grounded in SRE principles. This role requires mentoring offshore teams, delivering reference implementations, and moving solutions from concept to market.

Qualifications

• 10-12+ years in cloud architecture, platform engineering, SRE, or distributed systems.
• Hands-on AWS/GCP or hybrid production-scale environments.
• Proven systems design and architecture in enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of agentic platform concepts.
• Advanced knowledge of performance tuning and troubleshooting on hybrid platforms.
• Strong networking fundamentals (VPCs, DNS, load balancing).
• Kubernetes (EKS, GKE) knowledge.
• Terraform and at least one scripting language (Go, Python, Bash).
• Experience in global delivery environments and offshore teams.
• Ability to mentor and raise technical bar across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical architecture and implementation of cloud platforms on AWS and GCP.
• Design production-grade reference architectures for multi-account/multi-project environments, Kubernetes platforms, and hybrid/multi-cloud deployments.
• Lead platform design using SRE-first principles, including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and incident response.
• Mentor offshore teams to develop agent-enabled platform capabilities and accelerate solution delivery.
• Develop reusable platform components, accelerators, and templates to improve delivery speed.
• Review and approve designs for shared platform services (networking, identity, security).
