Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an AWS Practice Manager to lead the Platform Services customer execution team, guiding architects, engineers, consultants and delivery leads across migration, modernization, and platform engineering initiatives.

You will align with AWS Strategy, Technical Delivery Excellence and Sales to ensure staffing, delivery health and high-value outcomes for enterprise clients while scaling the AWS practice.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading cloud consulting or technology delivery.
• Experience managing AWS-focused teams.
• Strong architectural knowledge across broad AWS platform services.
• Proven success managing workforce allocation, utilization, bench, capacity planning, hiring, performance, and talent development in a consulting environment.
• Experience governing delivery portfolios and improving execution across scope, schedule, quality, financial performance, and customer outcomes.
• Experience reviewing or developing statements of work, delivery estimates, staffing models, assumptions, dependencies, and risk provisions.
• Ability to operate across technical, commercial, delivery, and people-leadership domains while establishing clear ownership and decision-making.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate risks, priorities, and decisions to executives, customers, AWS, and delivery teams.
• AWS Associate level certifications

Responsibilities

• Lead AWS Platform Services growth and operational leadership across adoption and delivery.
• Own workforce allocation, bench management, and utilization planning for the practice.
• Govern delivery health, governance, reviews, and risk mitigation for customer engagements.
• Partner with AWS alliance, sales, strategy, and delivery leadership to align capacity with demand.
• Promote repeatable delivery methods, reusable assets, and continuous improvement.
• Engage with customers and executives to reset expectations and protect delivery outcomes.
• Mentor architects, engineers, and delivery leads; drive talent development and certification planning.
