Job summary

Harbinger, based in Garden Grove, seeks a Senior Powertrain Test Engineer to lead system-level validation of EV powertrains, motors and drive units in the lab, with focus on electrical, mechanical and software integration.

You will help build robust test rigs, instrumentation and automation, driving repeatable and safe testing methodologies using LabVIEW and NI hardware to accelerate development.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years in validation testing and system integration.
• Experience with NI hardware (PXIe-RT, cRIO, cDAQ) and real-time/FPGA coding.
• Strong understanding of dynamometer concepts and high-voltage EV powertrains.
• Automation and software development experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute component and system-level testing of electric motors and drive units in the lab.
• Improve testing efficiency and data integrity via automation and software.
• Design electrical control panels for automated test systems.
• Develop automated test software using LabVIEW or similar environments.
• Analyze data to reproduce and characterize failures for quick resolution.
• Design dynamometers and HIL systems for development testing.
• Document designs, schematics, software logic, and test procedures for compliance.
