Job summary
Harbinger, based in Garden Grove, is seeking a Senior Powertrain Test Engineer to drive system-level testing of electric motors and drive units. You will build instrumentation, develop automated test software, and collaborate with test engineers and stakeholders to validate high-voltage powertrain integration.
The role emphasizes LabVIEW automation, NI hardware, and designing dynamometers and HIL systems, with a strong focus on data integrity, repeatability, and safety in a fast-paced EV
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field.
- 7+ years in validation testing and system integration (mechanical/electrical/software).
- Experience with NI hardware and real-time / FPGA modules.
- Knowledge of dynamometer operating principles and high-voltage EV powertrains.
Responsibilities
- Lead component and system-level testing of electric motors and drive units.
- Increase testing efficiency and data integrity via automation and software development.
- Design electrical control panels for automated test systems.
- Develop automated test software using LabVIEW or similar environments.
- Document system designs, schematics, and test procedures for compliance.
