Archer is seeking a Sr. Product Quality Engineer – Powertrain in San Jose, CA to own quality across battery, electric motor, and powertrain lines.

You will collaborate with Design, Battery Manufacturing, and Supplier Quality to drive root-cause analyses, PFMEAs, control plans, and RCCA while ensuring high-volume manufacturing quality. You will apply ASME Y14.5 GD&T, perform metrology using CMMs and FARO arms, and partner with cross-functional teams to close gaps and improve processes in a

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Materials, or Automotive Engineering with 5+ years of quality or manufacturing experience.
Experience with high-volume EV/powertrain manufacturing and battery pack assembly.
Strong knowledge of GD&T, metrology equipment, and dimensional inspection.
Experience applying APQP tools and RCCA/CAPA frameworks.
Familiarity with PLM/MES/ERP systems for digital inspection planning.

Responsabilités

Lead quality activities on battery pack and powertrain lines and resolve floor non-conformances.
Develop and update PFMEAs, Control Plans, and SPC protocols for powertrain manufacturing.
Perform GD&T reviews and dimensional inspections with CMMs and metrology tools.
Investigate root causes of defects and drive RCCA actions to closure.
Oversee First Article Inspections and coordinate with design, manufacturing, and supplier teams.
