Job summary

Polaris Inc. in Minnesota seeks a seasoned powertrain design engineer to lead the design and development of driveline, transmission, and engine systems from concept through production.

You will perform gear, shaft, bearing and chain drive design, run DFMEA/FEA analyses, and collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions in a fast-paced environment. The role requires 5+ years in mechanical/powertrain design, Creo experience, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in mechanical/powertrain/driveline/gear system design.
• Experience with 3D CAD (Creo preferred) and drivetrain analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of driveline, transmission, and engine systems from concept through production.
• Develop and manage system, subsystem, and component design schedules to support program timing objectives.
• Create conceptual and detailed designs for gears, shafts, bearings, splines, chain drives, and related powertrain components.
• Perform and support drivetrain analysis, including gear mesh and load modeling.
• Conduct or oversee engineering analyses, including DFMEA and FEA.
• Lead design reviews and collaborate with stakeholders.
