WSP USA is seeking an experienced Transmission Line Design Engineer to design and deliver high-quality transmission solutions on power infrastructure projects. The role is fully on-site at client offices in Rochester, Buffalo, or Binghamton, NY, with opportunities to collaborate across a multidisciplinary team and contribute to grid reliability.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in engineering, 5+ years in transmission line design, and EIT certification.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in transmission line design within utility environments.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification and knowledge of PLS-Cadd.

Aufgaben

• Provide transmission line design and engineering consulting services to major power and energy utility clients, independent power producers, and energy project developers.
• Design of electrical transmission facilities including line layout, foundations, structure configuration, structures, insulation and conductor specification.
• Preparation of project specifications for material and equipment purchase and installation.
• Delivery of accurate and thorough substations and control houses designs that meet industry standards and specifications; ensure constructability.
• Review of internal and external designs for code compliance, good design practice and constructability.
• Coordinate design activities with multi-disciplined project teams and maintain commitments to project teams.
