Siemens Energy in Charlotte, NC seeks a Master Layout Designer to drive the mechanical design during order execution, shaping tank layouts and active-part placements while producing comprehensive customer documentation. You will collaborate across electrical, tank, and clamping teams to optimize end products and ensure readiness for production.

The role requires a 5+ year track record in tank design for high‑power transformers, strong CAD skills (CREO/PROe/Inventor, AutoCAD) and SAP BOM

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years as Master Layout Designer or Tank Design Engineer for power transformers >100 MVA/145 kV.
• Strong knowledge of tank layouts and active-part placement.
• Excellent English communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with design teams to create master layouts meeting customer specs.
• Define tank shapes and active-part placements with proper clearances.
• Prepare specifications and BOMs for tanks, tanks components, fans, pumps, valves.
• Model designs in 2D/3D CAD and generate engineering drawings.
