Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Senior Power Transformers Field Specialist to support EPC projects at client sites across North America. The role involves 12-hour on-site days, four weeks on/one week off rotations, and potential 24x7 support as needed.

Projects are based in the Humble/Houston area with dispatch to sites as required. The position offers a guaranteed base salary plus overtime eligibility and daily per-diem or project stipends.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time.
• Minimum of 2 years of field experience with mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
• Preference for an Associate’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical or HV/MV apparatus or Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site transformer services including installation, maintenance, and upgrades.
• Assist with on-site resources and subcontracted services as directed by the field team.
• Attend daily tailboards and coordinate activities with crew and customer resources.
• Identify and report EHS/HSE concerns.
• Assist with vacuum processing rigs and associated equipment.
• Oversee field test or commissioning activities.
• Develop and improve standard procedures for transformer installation and maintenance.
• Prepare and submit technical documents.
• Collaborate with customers to define inspection criteria for transformer services.
