Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Senior Power Transformers Field Specialist 3 to support erection, commissioning and maintenance of PTR systems at client sites across North America. The role involves 12-hour days, on-site work, and rotations with four weeks on site and one week at home.

Based in North America with travel, you will coordinate with client teams and GE engineering to ensure grid reliability. The position includes guaranteed base salary plus overtime eligibility and daily per-diem support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical field with specialization in Power Transformer or HV/MV apparatus or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of field experience with power transformers or related eBOP equipment.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 80% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site transformer services including installation, maintenance, and upgrades.
• Assist with on-site resources and subcontracted services under team leads.
• Attend daily tailboards with crew and customer resources to outline activities.
• Identify and report EHS/HSE concerns.
• Operate vacuum processing rigs and related equipment.
• Support field test or commissioning activities.
• Contribute to development of standard procedures for transformer services.
• Prepare and submit technical documents and participate in inspection criteria development.
