Zusammenfassung

GE Vernova's Grid Solutions North America seeks a Senior Power Transformers Field Specialist to lead on-site installation, maintenance and commissioning of PTR systems across North America.

This role requires up to 80% travel, long shifts, and potential 24x7 support; base pay is guaranteed with overtime and per diem, with a Houston-based service center as the primary assignment. Competitive compensation and benefits are included.

Qualifikationen

• Willing to travel up to 80% of the time.
• Minimum of 2 years of field experience related to power transformers or eBOP equipment such as high voltage breakers, switchgear, etc.
• Preference for an associate’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power Transformer or HV/MV apparatus.

Aufgaben

• Perform on-site transformer services including new unit installation, corrective maintenance, and upgrades.
• Assist team leader on-site resources and subcontracted services.
• Attend daily tailboards with crews/customers to outline activities.
• Identify and report EHS/HSE concerns.
• Operate vacuum processing rigs and related equipment.
• Oversee field test or commissioning of units.
• Develop and improve standard procedures for transformer installation and maintenance.
• Prepare technical documents for submission.
• Develop inspection criteria with customers and internal teams.
• Record keeping and reporting using traditional and digital tools.
• Lead during emergencies with undefined scope.
