Job summary

WSP seeks a POWER Testing and Energization Senior P&C Field Services Technician for locations across Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah. You will lead on‑site testing, calibrations, and data collection for substation protection and control systems, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will use relay test sets (Omicron/Doble), collaborate with engineers, and support project schedules with field instrumentation expertise.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 9 years of experience in electrical testing
• Demonstrated expertise with transmission/generation/substation relays
• Protection relays testing and calibration experience
• Experience with NFPA/IEEE/NETA standards and safety practices

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and commissioning of Protection and Control systems on high voltage substations
• On‑site relay testing using Omicron Doble test sets and related equipment
• Follow safety protocols and participate in daily safety briefings
• Document site activities using field logs and digital tools
• Collaborate with team to resolve field challenges and ensure quality
