WSP is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization (P&C) Senior P&C Field Services Technician for locations in Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah. You will perform advanced testing and commissioning of protection and control systems in substations and industrial power facilities.

You will lead on-site activities, apply safety standards, document results with digital tools, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with subcontractors for timely project execution across diverse environments.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 9+ years in electrical testing including HV circuit breakers, transformers, instrument transformers, and substation testing.
• Expertise with transmission/generation/distribution relays and protective schemes.
• Relay calibration using Omicron CMC 256/356 and Doble F6150.
• Experience with safety standards such as NETA, IEEE, NFPA.
• Knowledge of testing electrical distribution, generation, and transmission projects from 15 kV to 500 kV.
• Proficiency with field testing software: ProTesT, Protection Suite, ENOSERV RTS, Omicron Test Universe, AcSELerator Quickset.
• Ability to troubleshoot field issues, prepare logs/reports, and travel up to 80%.

Responsabilidades

• Perform testing and commissioning of Protection and Control systems on high voltage substations.
• Lead on-site hands-on protective relay testing using relay test sets.
• Follow safety protocols and participate in safety briefings and job hazard analyses.
• Document site activities using field forms and digital tools.
• Coordinate with subcontractors on testing logistics and equipment deployment.
• Maintain calibration and maintenance logs for field equipment and vehicles.
• Provide input to field schedules and task prioritization to support project managers.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
