Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a Lead Studies Engineer to develop and validate renewable energy models using PSSE, PSLF, and PSCAD. You will perform dynamic system studies, support interconnection applications, and collaborate with clients to meet evolving grid and compliance requirements.

The role requires 7–10 years of power systems experience, a BD/ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree, and proficiency with Python is a plus. U.S. work authorization is required, with a flexible hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET) or equivalent.
• 7–10 years of work experience with at least 3 years in power systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop PSSE, PSLF, TSAT and PSCAD models of renewable plants.
• Perform model testing and benchmarking for software models.
• Tune dynamic model parameters to meet regional performance requirements.
• Support interconnection applications with design info and forms.
• Conduct preliminary system studies including reactive power analysis.
• Collaborate with clients to understand needs and deadlines.
