Job summary

Siemens is seeking experienced Power System Protection Engineers to join the Power Systems Engineering team. The role will be based at Wendell, NC or Boulder, CO, with relocation assistance available and local candidates encouraged to apply.

You will design, configure, and test protection relay systems for substations, perform FAT/SAT, and lead project delivery from initial design to final commissioning. Travel 50–70% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronic, or computer engineering.
• 5+ years in power systems protection engineering.
• Project technical lead experience.
• Knowledge of protection schemes and associated standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and test protective relay systems for substations.
• Perform FAT/SAT, and lead commissioning activities.
• Lead project teams and provide on-site client collaboration and troubleshooting.
• Develop and implement protection and control schemes per standards.
• Travel as required (50–70%) to support projects and client sites.
