Job summary
Siemens Electrification & Automation is seeking Automation/Controls/SCADA Engineers for substation automation. Positions are based in Wendell, NC or Boulder, CO, with relocation support for eligible candidates. Relocation assistance is offered and 50–70% travel may be required.
The role focuses on design, testing, and deployment of power automation systems, with onboarding to Siemens product ecosystems and client-facing commissioning experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronic, or computer engineering.
- 3+ years in Power Automation, SCADA or Substation Automation.
- Ability to read DC/AC schematics and 1-line diagrams for MV/HV substations.
- Knowledge of IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, IEC 60870-5-101/103/104, Profinet, Profibus, OPC.
- Willingness to travel 50–70% and eligibility to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and test automation and control systems for power substations.
- Perform FAT/SAT testing and lead project delivery.
- Develop control logic, networks, and design documents for protection and control schemes.
- Guide project teams and support clients on-site with commissioning.
