Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join the Resilience Water team in the Northeast, with White Plains, NY as a preferred location. The role focuses on electrical power distribution, controls, lighting, fire alarm, access control, and communications for water/wastewater facilities.

You will lead design, reviews, and construction support, mentor staff, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; PE preferred.
• 10 years of relevant experience in water/wastewater and industrial facilities.
• Active PE license.
• Strong written and verbal communication; client-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for water/wastewater facilities including power distribution and controls.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and respond to RFIs during construction.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
• Develop design criteria and prepare one-line diagrams, schematics, plans and specs.
