Job summary

ABB is seeking a field-oriented engineer to provide program leadership, technical direction, and hands-on support for power delivery, drive systems and control systems across ABB’s customer base in the US Southeast region. The role emphasizes remote work with significant travel to VA, NC, SC, GA and FL as needed.

Responsibilities include installing, maintaining and commissioning equipment, coordinating with Field Engineers and management, and building strong client relationships to generate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s with 5 years’ experience in power systems, startup/commissioning, testing, and maintenance, or an equivalent combination.
• Experience with various electrical controls and systems including switchgear and MCCs.
• Knowledge of PLCs, DCS, wiring diagrams, blueprints and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Complying with all ABB and end customer EHS policies and procedures.
• Installing, maintaining, repairing and commissioning equipment used in power delivery and control systems.
• Developing working relationships with team members and following directions from Field Engineers and Senior Management.
• Cultivating strong client relationships to build referral business.
