Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking a senior Power Systems Engineer to lead bulk power system analysis and inverter‑based resource modeling. You will work with PSCAD/PSS/E to assess performance, and ensure compliance with NERC/IEEE standards while delivering high‑quality reports.

You will own projects end‑to‑end, collaborate with engineering teams, and apply AI/automation to streamline analyses and drive innovation in grid modeling.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a power systems focus.
• 5+ years of professional experience in power systems engineering.
• Experience with ERCOT Model Quality Test or equivalent modeling validation.
• Familiarity with IEEE 2800 and NERC MOD-026-2.
• Strong power system impact studies: steady‑state, short‑circuit and dynamic.
• PSCAD and PSS/E proficiency, Python scripting ability.
• Experience using AI to improve engineering quality and automation.
• Strong writing, communication, and stakeholder collaboration.
• Ownership mindset and ability to manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed bulk power system dynamic studies using PSCAD and PSS/E.
• Model inverter‑based resources for design and validation.
• Conduct compliance studies per NERC/IEEE standards.
• Modeling and compliance work per ISO requirements and NERC MOD‑026‑2.
• Prepare clear technical reports documenting methodologies and conclusions.
• Own projects from planning through completion within quality/schedule/budget.
• Identify training needs and communicate to engineering leadership.
• Leverage AI and automation to streamline workflows and improve quality.
• Contribute to additional engineering initiatives in a collaborative environment.
