Quanta Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Power Systems Engineer, P.E., to join our Professional Engineering Consulting team in Baton Rouge, LA and Houston, TX. The role focuses on electrical design concepts, advanced analyses, and code-compliant solutions across energy, petrochemical, and data-center projects.

The candidate should bring 10–15 years of experience, strong ETAP/SKM skills, and a P.E. license (TX preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10–15 years of electrical engineering experience in midstream energy, petrochemical, or industrial facilities.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of Texas (preferred).
• Advanced experience with ETAP, SKM, or equivalent electrical analysis software.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, or equivalent tools.
• Strong familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, NEMA, API RP 500, and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform power system modeling and studies (load flow, short-circuit, arc-flash).
• Develop one-line diagrams, protection schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Engineer and specify LV/MV distribution equipment and protection settings.
• Coordinate power system deliverables with multiple engineering disciplines.
• Maintain ETAP models throughout the project lifecycle to reflect changes.
• Provide technical recommendations to resolve power quality, reliability, and protection issues.
