Job summary

NorthStar Energy Services, a Quanta Services, Inc. company, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its Professional Engineering Consulting team in Houston. You will design electrical systems for energy, petrochemical, and industrial facilities, ensuring compliance across the full project lifecycle.

The role collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and requires a PE license (Texas preferred) and 5+ years of experience with ETAP/SKM. Location: The Galleria, Channelview, TX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in midstream energy, petrochemical, or industrial facilities.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required, preferably in Texas.
• Advanced experience with ETAP, SKM, or equivalent software.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, or equivalent tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced electrical engineering analysis and system studies using ETAP or equivalent tools.
• Develop electrical system designs including one-line diagrams, motor control schematics, conduit and cable schedules.
• Size and specify power distribution, control equipment, and protection systems.
• Review and integrate company standards, municipal requirements, and regulatory codes.
• QA/QC reviews of electrical drawings, calculations, and technical documents.
• Coordinate electrical deliverables with engineers, designers, and project teams.
