Asplundh Engineering Services (AES) is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead power systems engineering projects for utilities, industrial, and commercial clients. You will guide design through commissioning, mentor staff, and interface with clients to ensure successful project execution.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, site investigations, and coordination of multidisciplinary teams, with a hybrid work model and travel. A PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Approximately 10–15 years of relevant power systems engineering experience.
• Experience leading engineering projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with utility, industrial, or large commercial power systems.
• Experience performing field investigations, condition assessments, and commissioning support.
• Familiarity with IEEE, NFPA, ANSI, NESC, and NEC requirements.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the senior engineer and project manager on power system and substation engineering projects.
• Conduct site inspections and field investigations to verify existing physical, electrical, and wiring conditions.
• Interface directly with clients to understand requirements, develop solutions, maintain strong relationships, and lead project execution, schedule management, and budget performance.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid‑level engineers.
• Prepare engineering reports, specifications, design criteria, and procurement packages.
• Support equipment specification, material procurement, vendor coordination, and construction/commissioning activities.
