Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking an Engineer III/Senior Engineer to advance interconnection and commissioning for large and computational loads. You will assess facilities, develop requirements, and help implement the Computational Load Commissioning Process with a focus on reliable integration of complex systems.

The role emphasizes independent problem solving, cross-functional collaboration, and delivering technical documentation to support project schedules and business goals in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• PE license is preferred or can be substituted by relevant state registration.
• Experience in power systems, interconnection, and reliability studies.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical evaluations supporting interconnection, commissioning, and performance of large and computational load facilities.
• Support the development and interpretation of Technical Interconnection Requirements for Large Load (TIRLL).
• Assist in implementing the Computational Load Commissioning Process.
• Review designs, data, and documentation to identify gaps and propose fixes.
• Translate complex issues into clear requirements for internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate activities and deliverables, maintaining schedules and objectives.
