Duke Energy seeks an experienced engineer to join the Grid Strategy & Advancement Engineering Application team. The role focuses on interconnection requirements for large loads and developing Duke Energy's Computational Load Commissioning Process to ensure safe and reliable integration of large and computational loads.

The Engineer III level and Senior Engineer level offer increasing independence and scope, with responsibilities across evaluation, requirements development, commissioning

Qualifications

• Requires a BS in Engineering from ABET-accredited program; PE preferred.
• Engineer III requires 4+ years of engineering experience; Senior Engineer requires 6+ years (without PE) or 5+ years (with PE).
• Preferred qualifications include PE license, power systems knowledge, and experience with interconnection standards and engineering processes.

Responsabilités

• Perform technical evaluations for interconnection, commissioning, and performance of large and computational load facilities.
• Support the development and implementation of TIRLL and Computational Load Commissioning Process.
• Review customer facility designs, equipment information, study results, and commissioning docs to identify gaps.
• Translate complex technical issues into clear requirements for internal teams, customers, developers, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate engineering activities and deliverables, prepare technical documentation, and support project schedules and business objectives.
• Assist in cross-functional execution and dissemination of engineering knowledge across teams.
