Duke Energy in North Carolina is seeking a Lead Engineer to provide technical leadership for large-load interconnection projects and the Computational Load Commissioning Process. You will guide cross-functional teams, engage with customers and industry stakeholders, and help ensure reliability and regulatory alignment.

This senior role requires a strong background in power systems, engineering leadership, and the ability to manage complex deliverables with limited supervision.

Competenze

• BS in Engineering from ABET-accredited program; MS may substitute.
• 8 years of related work experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration.

Mansioni

• Provide technical leadership for complex engineering work supporting interconnection, commissioning, and performance of large computational load facilities.
• Lead or support the implementation, interpretation, and continued development of TIRLL and the Computational Load Commissioning Process.
• Evaluate complex technical issues and develop practical requirements, recommendations, and solutions for reliability and business objectives.
• Apply power system studies, protection and control, power quality, and customer facility design to define requirements.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities and communicate technical matters among SMEs, customers, developers, and industry stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance to other engineers and support development of team capabilities, processes, and consistent engineering practices.
• Plan and manage engineering deliverables, prepare technical documentation, and support major initiatives.
