Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking an experienced Lead Engineer to join the Grid Strategy & Advancement Engineering Application team. You will provide technical leadership for large-load interconnection, commissioning, and performance, and shape the development of TIRLL and the Computational Load Commissioning Process.

Ideal candidates bring strong power systems expertise, advanced leadership, and the ability to engage regulators, customers, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• PE license required or ability to obtain.
• 8 years of related engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for large-load interconnection and commissioning.
• Develop and refine TIRLL and the Computational Load Commissioning Process.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and communicate complex issues to stakeholders.
• Evaluate complex technical issues and propose practical requirements.
• Plan deliverables and prepare technical documentation.
