Nexus Engineering Group seeks a Senior Power System Studies Engineer to own analytical studies for industrial power systems, including load flow, short-circuit, arc-flash, and relay coordination. You will build and validate models in ETAP and related tools, produce client-ready reports, and mentor junior engineers.

This on-site/hybrid role offers ESOP ownership, leadership opportunities, and exposure to a wide range of EPCm projects across multiple facilities; travel is occasional.

Formación

• What We’re Looking For: BS in Electrical Engineering; 5+ years of power system studies for industrial clients; advanced ETAP proficiency; other tools such as EasyPower or SKM; deep command of study types and calculation methods; ability to own studies end-to-end; knowledge of IEEE 1584, IEEE 3000 series, NFPA 70 & 70E; strong reporting and Excel skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and own power system studies end-to-end—scoping, modeling, analysis, QC, and final client-ready reports.
• Build and validate models in ETAP, and EasyPower or SKM as required.
• Perform load flow, short-circuit, arc-flash, protective device and relay coordination studies.
• Conduct dynamic and static studies (motor-starting, harmonics, ground grid, transient stability, lightning) as needed.
• Create and analyze relay setting files; coordinate protection schemes.
• Serve as technical client contact, scope work, gather data, and present findings.
• Review and QC studies by junior engineers; mentor on modeling, analysis, and standards.
• Help develop Nexus study templates, methodology, and quality standards.
• Travel occasionally to client facilities (2–3 times/year).
