Job summary

Nexus Engineering Group is seeking a Senior Power System Studies Engineer to own analytical studies that keep industrial power systems safe, reliable, and compliant while helping set Nexus’s study standards.

You’ll lead power system studies for industrial clients, build and validate ETAP models (and EasyPower/SKM), perform load flow, short‑circuit, arc‑flash, and relay coordination, review junior work, and mentor peers. This is primarily remote with occasional travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years in power system studies for industrial clients.
• Advanced, hands-on proficiency in ETAP; familiarity with EasyPower or SKM; ETAP required.
• Strong written communication and client-facing reporting skills.
• Proficiency in ETAP is essential; EasyPower or SKM also desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own power system studies end-to-end; scoping, modeling, analysis, QC, client-ready reports.
• Build/validate models in ETAP (and EasyPower or SKM) and perform load flow, short-circuit, arc‑flash, relay coordination.
• Mentor junior engineers, review their work, and help develop Nexus study templates and standards.
• Travel occasionally (2–3 times per year, up to a week) to client sites.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to Nexus's study templates and standards.
• Travel 2–3 times per year to client facilities as needed.
