Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a passionate Application Engineer to join our Global Accounts team.

You will work with industrial power system customers across regions, solving problems in a fast-paced environment and applying deep knowledge of power systems and SEL products. Responsibilities include teaching and developing expertise, visiting customers, presenting at events, and mentoring colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years in power systems or industrial applications with protection or automation.
• Fundamental understanding of metering.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach expertise in power systems and SEL products.
• Assist customers with SEL products through visits, demos, training and calls.
• Provide innovative solutions to complex problems and Independently support customers.
• Contribute to product specs, application/testing software, and literature.
• Present at SEL marketing events, industry meetings and conferences.
• Teach SEL University courses in core and other areas.
• Publish application guides, software tools, course materials and technical papers.
• Mentor and lead team members as an experienced advisor.
• Improve customer feedback processes and training materials.
