Siemens AG in Wendell, North Carolina is seeking a Power System Protection Engineer with expertise in protection relays for utilities, substation automation, and transmission projects. This mid-level professional role requires hands-on design, testing, FAT/SAT, and client-facing responsibilities with travel 50–70%.

You will configure protection schemes, work with Omicron and Doble test gear, read schematics, lead technical projects, and support on-site commissioning.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of engineering experience in power protection for utility transmission/ distribution.
• Experience leading technical projects or as a Technical Lead.
• Ability to read DC/AC schematics and substation diagrams.
• Knowledge of protection software/tools from Siemens/GE/SEL/ABB helpful.

Responsabilidades

• Design, configure, and test protective relay systems for substations and complex power systems.
• Execute FAT and SAT procedures and lead project delivery.
• Provide on-site support, troubleshooting, and commissioning expertise for clients.
• Develop and implement protection and control schemes aligned with standards and customer needs.
• Lead project teams and coordinate with clients throughout project lifecycle.
