Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. is seeking an Associate Project Engineer in Pullman, WA. The role involves training customers on automation and protection systems, assisting with design configurations, and supporting proposals within scope, schedule, and budget.

You will collaborate with the team to ensure quality and safety while advancing SEL equipment, services, and systems. Domestic/international travel of at least 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline.
• Knowledge of electric power system protection and control, integration and/or automation and communications applications.
• Proven knowledge of electric power system design, studies, information and communication technology and protective relay applications.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally a minimum of 25% based on focus area.

Responsibilities

• Train and assist customers with the creation, design configuration, validation, installation, commissioning and operation of automation and/or protection systems.
• Work with team in assigning, completing and implementing work within agreed upon scope, schedule and budget to a high level of quality and safety.
• Assist in the identification, preparation and presentation of successful proposals for SEL equipment, services, and systems.
