(SEL) is seeking a Power System Protection Engineer to deliver expert technical support for protection schemes and to teach customers how to apply SEL solutions. Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.
• 5+ years of experience with power system protection and relays.
• Knowledge of utility and/or industrial power systems with emphasis on protection, control, and operations.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and eagerness to learn new technologies.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; travel up to 25%

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to customers on applying new technologies or solutions to their power system.
• Design demonstrations of new technology or solutions for customers.
• Support protection product questions and assist with troubleshooting to identify root causes.
• Analyze responses of protective relays to power system faults.
• Teach customers how to use SEL products and how protective relays protect equipment.
• Contribute to white papers, application guides, industry journals, and technical papers.
• Provide product feedback to R&D and collaborate with engineers to improve features.
• Collaborate with other engineers to share knowledge on applications and best practices.
