Job summary

IEM is seeking a Power Solution Architect for the Central USA region. This strategic technical leader designs and optimizes electrical power delivery systems for industrial, data center, and enterprise applications.

You’ll bridge engineering and commercial teams, drive innovation, and support digital transformation. The role focuses on scalable architectures, collaboration with sales, and leadership in technical enablement across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Master's degree or PE license preferred.
• 5+ years in power system architecture.
• Experience with electrical power-distribution OEM equipment.
• Expertise in UL, IEEE standards and industry practices.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Sales Support: Partner with Sales across the assigned region to provide technical expertise during business development and proposal efforts.
• Interpret project specifications and guide estimation and design teams.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and technical documentation.
• System Architecture & Design: Develop scalable, standards-compliant power system architectures.
• Ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and operational goals.
• Product & Technology Collaboration: Evaluate and select components based on technical and commercial criteria.
• Recommend design optimizations and alternative solutions.
• Cross-Functional Engagement: Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and thermal engineering teams.
• Refine solutions based on customer and stakeholder feedback.
• Thought Leadership & Enablement: Represent IEM at industry events and promote technical solutions.
• Mentor teams and support training initiatives to scale expertise.
• Strategic Impact: Influence technical and commercial strategies to differentiate IEM solutions.
• Advocate for technology integration and digital transformation.
