Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting, LLC is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary teams on power generation, substations, and distribution projects in Minnesota. You will drive scope, schedule, budget, safety, and client satisfaction while coordinating with clients, vendors, and field partners.

The role requires extensive experience in power-sector project delivery and strong leadership as the primary client-facing project leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related technical discipline; Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
• PMP certification preferred, or ability to obtain certification.
• Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in project management, engineering management, construction management, or related leadership roles.
• Demonstrated experience managing engineering or EPC-support projects in power generation, substations, transmission, distribution, utility interconnections, industrial power systems, or related electrical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary engineering and project teams to deliver power generation, substation and distribution projects on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate with clients, utilities, vendors, and construction partners to ensure scope, safety, quality and risk are managed.
• Develop and implement execution plans, schedules, and budgets; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
• Provide client-facing leadership and clear status reporting on technical and commercial matters.
• Mentor and coach project engineers and junior managers across locations.
• Support business development through proposals, scoping, and go/no-go input.
• Improve PM processes, templates and tools for power-sector project delivery.
