Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Senior Power Platform & Automation Engineer to join HR's Product Experience & Insights team. You will design and build PowerApps, Power Automate workflows, Power BI dashboards, and AI-powered solutions, mentoring junior engineers and owning end-to-end delivery from discovery through support.

You'll collaborate with HR teams to understand needs, vet automation versus new systems, and deliver scalable, modern tools across the HR function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years building production solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI), or equivalent.
• Alternative: HS diploma with 15+ years of Power Platform experience.
• Proven ability to lead discovery, elicit requirements, and deliver end-to-end solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build PowerApps and automated workflows to streamline HR processes.
• Develop Power BI dashboards to surface HR metrics for varied audiences.
• Apply AI, Python, and prompt engineering to create intelligent, self-service solutions.
• Mentor junior automation engineers and collaborate with HR stakeholders across functions.
• Maintain documentation and ensure solutions are supportable by PEI.
