Job summary

Camden Plant Holdings (Camden) seeks a Plant Operator to safely run all plant equipment under guidance of the Shift Lead OMT and O&M Manager. The role emphasizes initiative, compliance with safety/environmental policies, and accurate data reporting.

You will operate turbines, HRSG, and auxiliary equipment, monitor meters, and respond to abnormal conditions. The job requires a New Jersey Blue Seal Boiler license, 5 years' experience, and rotating shifts, with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• New Jersey Blue Seal Boiler Operator License or higher is required.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience operating and/or maintaining major power generation equipment.
• Experience with distributed control systems (DCS) or other digital control platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams and technical documentation.
• Physically capable of tasks like standing/walking up to 12 hours, climbing stairs and ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Shift work including weekends/holidays; on-call may be required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe, efficient, reliable, and environmentally sound operation of plant equipment.
• Assist in start-up, shutdown, and operations of combined-cycle plant equipment.
• Operate valves, actuators, and switches during normal and emergency operations.
• Communicate information clearly, both orally and in writing.
• Troubleshoot equipment to resolve operational problems.
• Monitor and record data using instruments and shift logs.
• Implement Plant Emergency Procedures as needed.
• Observe variations in operating conditions and interpret readings.
• Ensure PMs and shift operations are performed.
