Job summary

Mainspring Energy, Inc. seeks a senior engineer to own the technical architecture of modular power plant sites, including full ownership of power skids.

You will coordinate across Electrical, Mechanical, Project Delivery, Software Controls, and Supply Chain with external partners to scale the product line. Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of direct experience productizing complex, multi-disciplinary industrial systems.
• Deep technical knowledge of power conversion systems, including MV transformers, central inverters, switchgear, relays, and busbar/cabling.
• Strong cross-functional leadership translating requirements into manufacturing-ready design.
• Experience directing 3rd-party design/CM partners from concept through volume production.
• Knowledge of grid interconnection standards and safety/compliance (IEEE 1547, UL 1741, NFPA 70/NEC).

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of next-generation modular power integration skids from concept to production release.
• Define skid-level power topology for utility-scale and data center sites with seamless interoperability between components.
• Own detailed skid engineering decisions including hardware selection, layout, thermal management, and environmental protection.
• Collaborate across Electrical, Mechanical, Project Delivery, Software Controls, and Supply Chain to capture and freeze system requirements.
• Manage third-party design firms and manufacturers to align outputs with spec and quality standards.
• Drive scalability and production readiness of larger skid configurations with suppliers to enable high-volume replication.
• Own the skid's cost target and drive design-to-cost trade-offs.
• Develop a site design configuration tool for optimal inverter/skid configurations.
