Avangrid Power in Klamath Falls, OR is seeking a Control Room Operator/Sr. Plant Tech Operator to oversee generation equipment and lead watch teams. You will train in mechanical and electrical maintenance and contribute to a range of maintenance activities.

The role requires experience as SPTO/PTO, strong safety and communications skills, and ability to manage complex plant conditions while ensuring environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven years as a Control Room Operator or Plant Tech Operator in power plant operations including all auxiliary equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and follow Environmental, Health & Safety docs and procedures.
• Ability to read drawings and technical manuals.
• Proven respiratory evaluation and fit test.
• Strong communications and Office software skills.
• Oregon driver's license required.
• Microsoft Office proficiency including Word and Excel; capable of writing technical papers and supporting spreadsheets.

Responsabilités

• Operate and lead in safe, compliant plant operations.
• Complete SPTO qualification and pass oral board.
• Coordinate maintenance activity and supervise on-watch staff.
• Train and mentor operations personnel.
• Analyze plant conditions and provide solutions to complex issues.
• Maintain water treatment processes and monitor lab results.
• Communicate with Energy Management for generation requirements.
• Develop and implement safety and environmental compliance measures.
