Job summary

Avangrid Power is seeking a Senior Control Room Operator for the Klamath Cogeneration Plant and Klamath Generation Peakers. The role leads operation, supervises watch teams, and ensures safe, compliant plant performance.

The position requires seven years in power plant operations, strong communication, and proficiency with Office tools, drawing interpretation, and safety programs. Oregon OC/EDS experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Seven years of experience as a Control Room Operator or Plant Tech Operator in power plant operations.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and abide by Environmental, Health, & Safety docs, procedures.
• Ability to read drawings and technical manuals.
• Respiratory evaluation and fit test completed.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel).

Responsibilities

• Perform SPTO duties for a minimum of 500 hours.
• Act as team leader on watch and supervise on-watch technicians.
• Coordinate maintenance activities and ensure efficient plant operation.
• Monitor plant conditions and maintain compliance with permits and regulations.
• Develop solutions to complex operational problems and mentor staff.
