Job summary

Avangrid is seeking a Senior Control Room Operator at the Klamath Cogeneration Plant in Klamath Falls, OR. You will act as the SPTO and PTO, overseeing all power generation equipment and ensuring safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with strong reading of technical manuals.
• Experience in power plant operations with SPTO/PTO qualifications preferred.
• Proven ability to train and supervise teams and manage watch activities.

Responsibilities

• Operate and supervise power generation equipment as SPTO and PTO with 500 hours on SPTO.
• Coordinate maintenance activities, ensure safe plant operation and regulatory compliance.
• Lead watch teams, troubleshoot equipment, and interpret plant data trends.
• Oversee water treatment, emissions monitoring, and safety programs.
• Mentor operators and coordinate vendor activities during outages.
