Job summary

Keel Infrastructure seeks a seasoned Power Plant Operator to join our control room team at our North American facilities. You will operate plant equipment and switchgear from the control room, starting up and shutting down main units, and ensuring safe, reliable power delivery.

The ideal candidate has at least four years of power plant operator experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong communication skills. Overtime, rotating shifts, and emergency callouts are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum four (4) years experience in power plant operator functions.
• High school diploma, or equivalent, required.
• Knowledge of power production, control room operation, and switching procedures.
• Ability to clear equipment and perform switching.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant equipment and switchgear from the control room.
• Start up, parallel, and shut down main power units.
• Place equipment into service and remove from service as needed.
• Maintain safe conditions during emergencies and perform routine maintenance.
• Write switching orders and perform required switching.
• Overtime, rotating shifts, and emergency callouts as needed.
