Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a brownfield coal-to-gas power plant conversion in Seattle, WA. You will lead construction management efforts, coordinate with EPC/engineering, plant operations, and contractors, and ensure safe, compliant execution under owner-held contracts.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 15+ years of industrial construction leadership, with strong skills in Primavera P6, change management, and union/non-union

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent industry experience.
• 15+ years of industrial construction experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience managing multi-discipline construction on power/industrial projects.
• Experience in operating brownfield facilities and contractor oversight.
• Strong knowledge of contractor management, contract administration, change management, and field execution planning.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary field interface between Owner, engineering team, plant operations, contractors, and commissioning personnel.
• Coordinate activities across multiple owner-held construction contracts.
• Lead contractor coordination meetings and resolve field issues.
• Monitor contractor safety, quality, productivity, and schedule adherence.
• Oversee construction in an operating brownfield facility including outage and tie-in activities.
• Coordinate union and non-union contractor interfaces while complying with labor practices.
• Review progress, change requests, payments, and field reports.
• Drive schedule adherence and recovery with project controls.
• Promote safety, environmental stewardship, quality, and operational excellence.
• Provide routine reporting on project performance, risks, and mitigations.
• Support turnover, start-up, and commissioning activities.
