Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Senior Electricity Market Optimization Software Engineer to join a team of 8-15 engineers. You will define, develop, and evolve software for large on-premise Electricity Market Management Systems used by utilities, ISOs/TSOs.

Your role includes technical leadership, design, testing, and integration across cross-functional teams. You will mentor juniors, interact with customers, and ensure on-time delivery within budget while applying Lean/Agile/XP, CI, and security

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or STEM field.
• 4+ years experience in Electricity Markets, Security Constrained Unit Commitment and Economic Dispatch using MIP.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and evolve software in an agile environment.
• Provide domain knowledge and technical leadership to engineers.
• Lead electricity market application development and ensure timely delivery.
• Write design notes and testing procedures.
• Provide budget estimates for new tasks to leads/managers.
• Collaborate with customers to ensure quality and requirements.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Interact with product, customers, partners, and cross-functional teams.
• Apply SDLC, Lean/Agile/XP, CI, security, and testing practices.
