Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Software Engineer to join a team of 8–15 engineers focusing on the Electricity Market Management System (MMS). You will design, develop, and support mission-critical software components in a rigorous, performance-sensitive environment, while collaborating with domain experts to deliver reliable energy market solutions.

You will contribute to agile-driven development, maintain code quality with tests and automation, and participate in design reviews to refine scalable software

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
• 3 years of professional software development experience.
• 2 years of experience in Energy domain (Energy Management, Power Systems, or Wholesale Electricity Markets).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and evolve software components for Wholesale MMS applications.
• Work independently within an Agile team and participate in design discussions and code reviews.
• Estimate scope and effort and deliver high-quality code.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve MMS issues in development and production environments.
• Collaborate to translate requirements into scalable technical implementations.
• Maintain code quality through unit testing and automation.
• Participate in whiteboarding sessions and technical design reviews.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align software deliverables with project timelines and product standards.
