GE Vernova is seeking a Software Engineer to join a skilled team responsible for the Electricity Market Management System (MMS). The role emphasizes clean code, technical rigor, and continuous learning within a 8-15 engineer group in a mission-critical energy domain.

You will design, develop, and support MMS components, work in Agile processes, and collaborate across teams to deliver scalable software solutions with strong testing and deployment practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field.
• 3 years of professional software development experience.
• 2 years of experience in Energy domain (Energy Management, Power Systems, or Wholesale Electricity Markets).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and evolve software components for MMS applications.
• Work independently and participate in design discussions and code reviews.
• Provide accurate effort estimates and deliver high-quality code in Agile environments.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in MMS applications across development and production.
• Translate requirements into scalable technical implementations.
• Maintain code quality through best practices, unit testing and automation.
• Participate in whiteboarding sessions and technical design reviews.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align software with project timelines and standards.
